What we collect

  • Check and quote requests: your website address, email, platform and anything you write to us.
  • Client work: temporary access credentials and the data we must handle on your systems to perform the job.
  • Payments: processed by our payment provider; we do not store card numbers.
  • Analytics and ads: if you consent, cookies from analytics and advertising tools (for example Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta) to measure visits and campaigns.

Why and on what legal basis

  • To answer your request and perform the service (contract / pre-contract steps).
  • To send the follow-up you asked for and, with your consent, occasional security updates (consent; unsubscribe anytime).
  • To keep records required by law (legal obligation).
  • Analytics and advertising cookies only with your consent where the law requires it.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers needed to run the business (form handling, email, hosting, payments, subcontracted engineers under confidentiality). We do not sell personal data.

International transfers

We work remotely across several countries. Where data leaves the EU, UK or your country, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Retention

Check requests: up to 12 months. Client records: as long as required for accounting and legal purposes. Access credentials: deleted when the job closes.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (EU/UK GDPR, Canada's PIPEDA, California's CCPA/CPRA and others), you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Email hello@legacypatch.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
